I'm always getting inspo from everywhere and had a good idea for the month of October. I wanted to do a shoot where everybody dressed as a different sin. The fun part was I wanted THEIR interpretation of the sin so that we could have variety and fresh takes! I got the word out for a model call and ended up with seven ladies who were down and ready to bring this idea for life for me.
First up we have Lust and Wrath.
Wrath went alllll out! I was so excited to see Meg's vision come to life. Her props just MADE the shoot. From her dress to her "shit list" book, she definitely embodied the spirit of Wrath.
Lust was beyond HOT! I loved the red and the touch of the roses gave a romantic air to her portraits. I can say I definitely got the lusty vibes from the beautiful Ashley.
Next up we have Envy, Greed and Pride.
Envy went with a green theme for obvious reasons. I think it's safe to say we all envied her vibe. Megan's dress was FIRE. Complete with a gemstone crown she slayed.
Greed was probably one of my favorites just because of how on point she was! Ann stepped in last minute for another person who had to cancel and killed it. The gold dress MADE the ensemble. She even made the money bags herself! How creative!
Pride was played by Karina (if you're local to Frederick, MD you definitely need to check out her fleet of food trucks, Traditional Authentic Mexican Food). She braved the cold in her black mini dress and topped her outfit off with a peacock mirror to really give the extra punch to the sin.
Last but not least we have Gluttony and Sloth!
Gluttony took her interpretation to a whole new level. Somehow Kellie found a piñata costume and rocked it. And of course you can't have a piñata without CANDY. I just loved the direction she went with her vision.
Sloth was adorable. Alice came with her stuffs, a blanket and was decked out in some cute PJ's. I thought the above photo of her snuggled in her blanket was just too cute not to show you! I love that she went the sleepy route for the sin. She embodied the meaning of sloth, especially in the group photo below.
At the end of the shoot I thought it might be a good idea to partner the sins up with one another. I paired Lust and Wrath to show two ends of the spectrum and honestly in some situations they can go hand and hand haha. Pride, Envy and Greed just made sense to me and I love how it turned out. I love that envy is looking at the other two longingly. Then we had Gluttony and Sloth which went perfect together. Gluttony trying to feed a yawning Sloth was too funny.
