Elajsha is one of my favorites. She is another client I have had the privilege of shooting with on multiple occasions and for many milestones. From her prom photos, to her maternity and now this special session, I have loved to watch her ever evolving role in the world.
If you know me, you know I love putting together unique sets to photograph for my clients. The process of bringing together all the intricate elements, layering them until they fit just right can truly transform a simple session into an experience that is personal and unforgettable. They are certainly more than just a backdrop. Instead, the sets created become a reflection of the client's story. From each detail, the textures, the tones, all the small accents - I always go into these sets wanting to create an intimate atmosphere that allows the subjects to relax, connect and just be themselves. The entire process from set up to shoot is as rewarding as delivering the final gallery.
The thing I love about Elajsha, is that she always trusts the process. There is something so incredibly inspiring to have a client give me the artistic freedom to showcase them in a new way. That kind of trust allows the creativity to flow naturally where every angle, detail and moment is guided by pure artistry.
When given this type of freedom, I find the client often leans into the experience as a whole, it becomes more than just photographs. In fact it is then a collaboration built on vulnerability and authenticity from both myself and the subject!
These sessions and sets produce some of the most meaningful images. And often time build more of a relationship between my business and the client. Allowing me to take a leap in designing a styled shoot is not a type of trust I take lightly; it is an honor that allows me to step into my creativity with confidence knowing that the final product we create together will last for years to come and that the experience will often times become a cherished memory.
