Sydney is one of my very best friends. Though there is about 10 hours between us in travel time, I try to get down to see her as often as our schedules allow. Of course you know I gotta have my camera and on this particular trip I am glad that I did.
I love collaborating with friends. Especially when they help make ideas become a reality. Sydney, knowing the area having lived in her town for quite a bit, showed me an abandoned motel that had so much potential. Discovering new places is definitely one of the best and more adventurous parts of this job.
After we picked her outfit we went to work. We traveled to the motel which conveniently was right down the road from her home and everything came naturally to us both.
The light loved us, and everything went off without a hitch! I had a perfect model in a perfect ensemble at a unique location. Although this is one of my earlier shoots, I still look back and smile. Not only because I have come a long way since then but also because I have these memories of one of my very best friends.
