Chy and Matt asked me to be their wedding photographer because of a referral from a mutual friend (I love me some referrals!). After much discussion about their needs and expectations, we found we were a great fit for one another. Chy and I went over every detail she wanted captured with input from Matt as I went through my standard procedure for what my packages included.
Chy decided to have an intimate ceremony at the gorgeous home of a friend. This yard was to die for. Outfitted with greenery, fence lines and a gorgeous gazebo, you wouldn't believe it wasn't a wedding venue.
One of the best parts of the day was the dress reveal. I love dress reveals because the reactions are simply priceless, as you can see below. Her friends were stunned by her mermaid lace dress that fit her perfectly and almost brought a tear to even my eye! She was absolutely STUNNING.
Chy was surrounded by her closest family and friends, making it easy to feel the love they had for her and her handsome groom. The weather was gorgeous and I could not fathom a better day for a wedding.
Although nervous for the day and to have her picture taken, Chy was a complete natural. She and Matt were easy to work with and let me be creative and took my direction in stride. The nerves did not show through even a little bit in their one on one portraits.
A thing I love most about my clients is they always bring a special piece of them to each and every session. One of the moments my bride and groom wanted captured on their special day was Matt presenting Chy with a beautiful necklace before their ceremony. I captured this without Matt seeing Chy which I was actually pretty proud of!
There sunset ceremony was amazing. Matt was basking in the glow as Chy made her way down the aisle to him and the love radiating between them was beautiful. After the ceremony we made our way to the yard for our bridal portraits. We were able to catch that light that just made for the some of the most perfect golden hour shots of my entire career. I mean, how perfect are these two?
I had such a good time photographing this special day for Chy and Matt and look forward to working with them in the future. What's most important is that I captured the day in a way that made their visions come to life, and I am positive we accomplished that.
And you know it wouldn't be a Bella Harlor shoot without at least one super out of the box picture. check out Chy's new friend below.
